FAQ's
What do I need to bring to class?
We’re super excited to see you soon! 😊 Just a quick reminder to bring your own water bottle and a sweat towel. It’s best to wear something stretchy and comfy (maybe skip the strings, zips, and really loose stuff). Don’t forget, grip socks are a must for hygiene and safety, so if you don’t have any, we’ve got you covered to buy some at the studio.
Can’t wait to have a great time together!

What if I need to cancel or don't show up?
Our cancellation policy is here to help ensure that everyone in our studio community has a fair chance to access our classes, and we truly appreciate your understanding! We kindly ask that you cancel your reserved spot in advance so others can take advantage of the opportunity to join us.
Remember, cancellations are the responsibility of the person who booked the class. We ask that you make any cancellations through your Punchpass account at least 12 hours before your class. If you need to cancel within 12 hours, unfortunately, that session will be forfeited.
We also want to make sure everyone has the best experience possible, so please note that we can’t accept cancellations via email, phone, or social media. Thank you for giving everyone the opportunity to enjoy our studio!
Is there an app I can download?
Of course, there's an app for that! Our app lets you easily access your account, reservations and passes while on the go. However, it's not available in 'App' stores - ours is installed a little differently because it is what is called a 'Progressive Web App'. Below are instructions on how to quickly install it for both iPhones, iPads, and Android. Please visit this link and follow the easy instructions.
Can I attend a class if I am pregnant?
Absolutely! Huge congratulations on this exciting journey ahead! We are so thrilled to be part of it. Staying active during pregnancy can be one of the best things you can do for both you and your little one (just be sure to check in with your doctor first). There’s a ton of research showing how beneficial exercise can be during this special time.
We're all about following the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) Guidelines when it comes to exercising while pregnant, and our team is experienced in working with prenatal clients. We love staying up-to-date with the latest research to ensure you get the best care possible. Our Reformer classes are a fantastic option for mums-to-be at any stage, allowing you to choose how much you want to challenge yourself based on how you’re feeling.
We can’t wait to see you!
Can I attend a class if I have an existing injury or medical condition?
Reformer Pilates serves as an excellent method for rehabilitating injuries and regaining strength and flexibility. To ensure your comfort, kindly inform our instructors if you have any physical concerns before the session begins.
In the case of acute injuries, it's advisable to refrain from joining a group Reformer Pilates class until medical clearance has been obtained from your medical or healthcare professional. For your safety, our instructors reserve the right to turn you away and reschedule your session for a later time, with no penalty to you.
For those dealing with long-term discomfort or persistent issues, exercise is highly recommended as an effective means of pain management. Kindly inform our instructors of your concerns prior to class.
If you have any additional physical concerns and are unsure whether our classes are suitable for you, please contact (our top dog) Luan directly, via email - luan@explorethemovementpilates.com.au
How many times per week should I attend Pilates Reformer classes?
The frequency of classes depends on your fitness goals and schedule. Many clients find success with 2-3 classes per week, while others prefer more or less depending on their needs and commitments.
The current exercise guidelines for healthy adults as per the American College of Sport Medicine (ACSM) recommend the following:
150-300 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise per week, OR 75-150 minutes of high intensity exercise per week, plus
2-3 strength training (aka resistance training) sessions per week, plus
1-2 neuro-motor and flexibility sessions per week.
